CNC Turning
Turning traditionally required constant supervision by the operator in relation to a lathe. Computer Numerical Control turning also known as CNC turning cuts down on the amount of supervision needed and offers other benefits.
A lathe is a machine tool that rotates a work piece on its axis to creating an axis of rotation allowing various operations to be taken upon it such as cutting, deformation and sanding.
Parmac Engineering offers bespoke CNC turning for manufacturing and other operations. Our machines range from industrial sizes to small systems for home DIY and hobbyists.
There are two types of CNC turning; horizontal and vertical. These can be sub categorised by the number of axes they have ranging from 2-6. Horizontal are most common in manufacturing and machine shops as they offer more flexibility allowing for more complex parts.

CNC Turning services in Hull
We recommend that if you are producing small parts or large volumes to opt for six axes versions. Two Axes vertical CNC turning is popular for large diameter work.
